Put the result to work
Keep crawler guidance and sitemap discovery in one text file. Add the public URLs of your sitemap files, choose the crawler group, and enter paths that should be allowed or disallowed. Download the result for your website root.
Robots.txt is not access control and does not reliably remove indexed pages. Never use a disallow rule as protection for private content.
Frequently asked questions
Where should the generated robots.txt file go?
Publish it at /robots.txt on the website origin. Review existing rules before replacing a file, and use absolute public sitemap URLs. The generator produces text for you to review and host; it does not change your website.
Does a robots.txt Disallow rule remove a page from search?
Disallow controls crawling and is not an indexing-removal instruction. For a page you want excluded from search, review the search engine’s noindex guidance. Blocking crawling can prevent a crawler from seeing that page’s noindex directive.
Do I need a Chatbyte account?
No. These tools are free to use without signing up. Shared usage limits protect availability. Creating and running a Chatbyte chatbot is a separate product.
How is my content processed?
Tools process submitted content on the server for the request. AI tools send extracted text through Vercel AI Gateway to the selected AI model provider. This app does not save tool inputs to a database. Chat history stays in the current tab until reset. Avoid confidential or personal data.
