Put the result to work
Upload a report, guide, or manual containing selectable text. The tool extracts the PDF’s text and page markers before answering your question. Useful follow-ups include comparing sections or finding a specific requirement.
Scanned PDFs require OCR. Multi-column reading order and table extraction can be imperfect, so check quoted details in the original file.
Frequently asked questions
Can the PDF chat explain a specific section of a report?
Yes. Upload a text-based PDF, name the section, and ask for an explanation with supporting excerpts. The extracted text includes page markers. Verify quotations and numerical details against the original, especially around tables and columns.
Why can’t the AI read my scanned PDF?
Scanned pages contain images rather than selectable text. This tool does not perform OCR or image analysis. Create a searchable PDF with OCR first, then upload it and check that the extracted content matches the scan.
Do I need a Chatbyte account?
No. These tools are free to use without signing up. Shared usage limits protect availability. Creating and running a Chatbyte chatbot is a separate product.
How is my content processed?
Tools process submitted content on the server for the request. AI tools send extracted text through Vercel AI Gateway to the selected AI model provider. This app does not save tool inputs to a database. Chat history stays in the current tab until reset. Avoid confidential or personal data.
