Up to 3 MB. Choose a file in the format shown above.

Confirming changes starts a new conversation.

Put the result to work

Turn a Word document into a source you can question. Supported headings, lists, links and tables are extracted before the conversation starts. Ask for a summary, an explanation of a clause, or a list of documented steps.

Use DOCX rather than legacy DOC. Answers cover extracted text, not text embedded in images, comments, or every visual formatting detail.

Frequently asked questions

How can I question a Word policy or procedure?

Upload its DOCX file and ask a focused question, such as which steps apply to a stated situation. Request supporting passages so you can review the answer. The chat uses the extracted document content rather than your organization’s other files.

Can Word chat read images, comments, and tracked edits?

Do not rely on it to interpret those features. Prepare a clean copy with approved text, resolve tracked edits, and include important image text in the document body. Legacy DOC files need to be saved as DOCX first.

Do I need a Chatbyte account?

No. These tools are free to use without signing up. Shared usage limits protect availability. Creating and running a Chatbyte chatbot is a separate product.

How is my content processed?

Tools process submitted content on the server for the request. AI tools send extracted text through Vercel AI Gateway to the selected AI model provider. This app does not save tool inputs to a database. Chat history stays in the current tab until reset. Avoid confidential or personal data.
