2. Request Deletion From Chatbyte
To request deletion of data held by Chatbyte, email contact@chatbyte.ai with the subject line "Meta App Data Deletion Request". Please include enough information for us to find the relevant data:
- your full name;
- the email address associated with your Chatbyte or Meta connection;
- the organization or business name, if known;
- the connected channel, such as Facebook Page, Instagram, Messenger, or WhatsApp Business;
- the Meta Page ID, Instagram account ID, WhatsApp Business account ID, or user ID, if known;
- a short description of the data you want deleted.
If you are an end user who contacted a business through a Meta channel connected to Chatbyte, please also contact that business directly. The business may be the controller of your conversation data and may need to confirm or instruct the deletion.
3. What We Delete
Where applicable and legally permitted, we delete or anonymize:
- stored Meta channel connection records;
- access tokens and related authentication data;
- conversation records, messages, attachments, and sender identifiers;
- integration logs that can reasonably be tied to the deletion request;
- related support records that are no longer required.
4. What We May Retain
We may retain limited data where required or permitted by law, including billing records, tax records, security logs, abuse-prevention records, backup records awaiting normal deletion cycles, and records needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Where possible, retained data is minimized, restricted, or anonymized.
5. Timing
We aim to acknowledge deletion requests without undue delay. We normally complete valid deletion or anonymization requests within 30 days unless a longer period is required because of request complexity, verification needs, legal obligations, or customer-controller coordination. If more time is needed, we will explain why.
6. More Information
